What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of heightened focus and is sometimes called a trance like state. We all experience this natural state in everyday life, sometimes called ‘flow’, like being absorbed in a book or driving along the highway, forgetting our surroundings. This state is a vehicle to deliver a purposeful, clear message to your subconscious mind.
What can I expect in my initial treatment?
We will briefly go through the intake form and clarify the hypnotherapy treatment. This is followed by strategic questioning to understand the root of your issue and which processes need interrupting. During the hypnosis session, you can relax and listen while in a comfortable state of heightened awareness and openness to changing your patterns. You will be aware and in full control during the entirety of the session. At the conclusion of the treatment, we will debrief and set consolidation exercises to strengthen the positive changes and embed them within your everyday life.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes, anyone can be hypnotised if they choose to and it can vary to what depth but this isn’t important for the change that will occur.
Hypnosis vs Meditation
Meditation and hypnosis, are very similar, you reach a calm, focused and creative state of mind in both, just while in hypnosis, you add a purpose to it as well.
Is online as effective as face to face therapy?
Yes, online therapy is effective and it gives you the comfort of your own home as a bonus. Some clients prefer the face to face setting as it helps them feel a clear distinction between treatment space and home, but an online setting can be useful and just as powerful.
